About Fire at the Falls
What started as a never ending exchange of jam sessions between guitarist Alex and bassist Elijah’s homes in Randolph, MN, quickly bloomed into a desire to form a band like both of their parents had before them (Gemini, St. Cry).
Call it “Walmart Nepotism.” With the addition of Bryan Anderson hopping on vocals during a birthday party cover of “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and Abe Anderson answering our prayer for the best drummer this side of Lake Byllesby, Fire at the Falls was assembled and ready to take their show from the garages of Randolph and Cannon Falls, MN and to stages across Southern Minnesota!
It’s our mission to play music the way that we experienced our favorite bands play, and to give that experience back to the crowds at our shows!
Whether it’s simply singing along to pop punk anthems like Basket Case and All the Small Things, or jumping into the crowd for a high energy cover of Smells like Teen Spirit, we want to make sure anybody watching us has fun (and hopefully remembers our name)!
Whether you like covers of Green Day, Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, Nirvana, and Bowling for Soup, or want to hear new original music, Fire at the Falls gives you both!
We pride ourselves on giving you fan favorite songs as well as sprinkling in our own original songs from our albums “Teenage Angst” (2013) and “Stronger” (2019), as a way to promote ourselves to the fullest and encourage the pursuit of new music!
Now 15+ years later, our little band has found its way to stages with national acts like Helmet and Filter, and many popular Minnesota bands like Hairball, The Johnny Holm Band, PopROCKS, & Lost Highway, We’ve had the privilege of being a part of your local festivals (Volksfest, Water Ski Days, Cannon Falls Firemen’s Dance) and of course our frequent nights at Kathy’s Pub in Rochester. Whether you’ve seen us a dozen times or you’ve never heard of us, we hope to see you in the crowd soon!
